She graduated from Norton High School, Attleboro and retired in 1999 as an optician. Cheryl loved the Lord and visited the Holy Land in Jerusalem. She was a member of the Murdock Baptist Church in Port Charlotte.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Barry of Port Charlotte; son, Dennis Vassalotti of Taunton, Mass.; daughter, Nicole King of No. Attleboro, Mass.; step-daughters, Kari Morse of Centerville, Mass and Amy MacDonald of Valley, Nova Scotia; sisters, Patricia Hayes of Pawtucket, R.I. and Sandra Hannon of South Attleboro, Mass.; and bothers, Gregory Peterson of Clarksville, Va., Richard Peterson of Pawtucket and Gary LeReau of Virginia; and six grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of Cheryl's life at 10 a.m. today, Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Murdock Baptist Church, 18375 Cochran Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Memorial donations may be made to Murdock Baptist Church.
