Born with the spirit of a true Texan, Ted, affectionately known as "Rainmaker," lived a life marked by passion and determination. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Kathy Diane Hill, a loving father to his son, Allen Opie Valka, and a cherished brother to his sister, Kelly Montalvo. Ted's family was his pride and joy, and his presence brought warmth and joy to their lives every day.
Ted's magnetic personality extended beyond his immediate family to encompass a vast network of friends and loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his nephew Joshua Montalvo and his wife Tana, along with their children Kylie, Colten, Preston, and Justin Montalvo. Ted's legacy also lives on through his grandchildren: Ian Gibson and his wife Emily, Korey Valka and his wife Haley, Kayla Rutledge and her husband Kevin, and Mikalah Gibson. He leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and joy he brought into the world.
Ted was a man of many passions, each pursued with unwavering enthusiasm. Whether he was tearing up the drag strip, racing boats, tinkering on vintage cars and trucks, or cruising the highways in his beloved 18-wheeler, Ted approached life with a spirit of adventure and a determination to make every moment count. He found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, from listening to music to sharing stories over a cold beer.
Beyond his love for racing and tinkering, Ted had a special place in his heart for his two Irish Settlers, who were more than just pets but beloved companions who shared in his adventures and brought him immeasurable joy.
Though Ted's physical presence may be gone, his spirit lives on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a relentless pursuit of happiness that will continue to inspire all who were touched by his remarkable life.
In honoring Ted's memory, let us remember his vibrant spirit and carry forward the lessons he imparted: to live life with passion, embrace adventure, and never lose sight of the joy found in the simple moments. Ted "Rainmaker" Hill may have left this world, but his legacy of love and laughter will endure for generations to come.
