Lloyd “Mickey” Wayne Barrow, 57, of Orangefield passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Lloyd was born on February 24, 1954, to the late Doyle and Vera Barrow. He was a former resident of Port Arthur before moving to Orangefield for the past 25 years. Lloyd was a 1972 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur
Lloyd was a dedicated father and grandfather to his family. He enjoyed spending time visiting with friends at the Vidor VFW and loved to fish and hunt. Lloyd’s favorite hobby was restoring old vehicles. His pride and joy was his 1976 Stingray Corvette. He was described as a man who always loved helping his family and friends and often put them before himself. Lloyd was a career carpenter and was well known for his quality craftsmanship.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Dille and her husband Edward of Deweyville; brother, Edward Barrow and his wife Donna of Starks La; grandchildren, Justin Dille and Ashlee Dille
A gathering of his family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Grammier- Oberle Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held Monday, November 28, 2011, at 2 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
