Schmitz; Raymond Charles passed away peacefully in Echo Village on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 89 years of age. Predeceased by his wife Louise (2001) and 8 of his 10 siblings, Raymond is survived by his children: Ken (Cathy), Wayne, Brian (Corinne) and Connie (Wayne); grandchildren: Christine, Kayla, Michael, Daniela, Breeann, Megan, Dianne, Tammy and Troy; brothers Ralph (Carol) and Jim (Cathy) dear friend and companion Mae Hamelin and her family as well as other relatives and friends.
Ray worked for many years as a heavy duty mechanic with Rayner and Bracht. He also enjoyed fishing, but mostly as a family man, he loved to spend time with his family, his children and grandchildren.
Prayers will be offered at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005-6th Avenue. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church 4731 Burke Rd., with Fr. Stephen Paine officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter`s Cemetery.
