Kowalchuk; Emilian “Mike” passed away in Port Alberni on November 10, 2010 at 86 years of age.
Predeceased by his sister Jeanne Power, he is survived by 2 nephews: Brian (wife Betty and their children Kate and Sean) and Patrick (wife Linda, and their children Jaime and Kaley) and one niece Valerie along with other relatives and many friends.
Mike was athletically inclined but his favorite sports were golf, bowling, and fishing. Since coming to Port Alberni he was employed with M&B as a mill worker until his retirement in the mid 1980’s.
A memorial mass will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church 4731 Burke Rd., with Father Stephen Paine officiating. Cremation has taken place.
