Brian was born on September 23, 1955 in Woodstock, Ontario to Lorne and Carol Quinn, the fifth of eight children. He was a carpenter by trade and was employed for the majority of his working career by the Community College in Terrace, BC. In 1978 he married Brenda and together they raised three sons, Dylan, Joel, Matthew and daughter, Bethany. Brian had a love of the land and spent 42 years on his Terrace property where he developed the acreage into a beautiful park like setting. He loved spending hours on his riding mower carefully manicuring his lawns and trimming his gardens to perfection.
Brian was an avid fisherman his entire life, having many adventures on trips with friends and family. Many memorable trips in the Douglas Channel and ocean were made with his brother Mark. He was known for his friendly personality and generous spirit, a very kind hearted man. Everywhere he went he was greeted by name.
In 2019 Brian and Brenda retired to Vancouver Island to be closer to family and enjoy a milder climate. He loved being near the ocean and spent much time at the water thoroughly enjoying island life. He was always delighted to see his family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Lorne, his mother, Carol and his brother Danny.
He is survived by his wife Brenda; his four children, Dylan, Joel (Sheena), Matthew (Amanda) & Bethany (James); grandchildren Tiryn, Sienna, Pepper, Aiden, Lyric, Nash, Nylie, Sawyer, Noah, Myla, Jaxon and Jesse; brothers Paul (Sandy), David (Sharon), Mark (Nancy), Philip (Myrna); sisters Linda (Dave), Annie (Tom); sisters in law, Del and Cheryl (Harry); mother in law Charlotte, and numerous nieces and nephews.
