passing of Brian Mahaff ey on May 28, 2021 in
Port Alberni at the age of 77 years.
Predeceased by his parents Edward and Pearl,
sister Lynda and grandchildren Jordyn and Mark.
Survived by Judy his loving wife of 59 years;
daughters Celine (Monty), Chelley (Paul), Cherie
(Mike); grandchildren Courteney (Kevin), Carley,
Jaymes, David and Brian’s pride and joy – great
grandson Colin; as well as a large extended
family.
Brian enjoyed sports all his life playing baseball,
basketball and soccer while growing up and in
later years playing softball and golf. His greatest
joy was coaching his daughters in both softball
and soccer. Brian spent many summers camping
and fi shing with his family – his favourite spot
being Quadra Island, going to Rebecca Spit for
over 50 years.
Brian worked for MacMillan Bloedel/Weyhauser
for 36 years until he retired in 2002. He will be
greatly missed. A family service will be held at
a later date.
