Norma Dean Rawls Magee

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Virgil Rawls; sisters, Juanita Morris and Louise Thompson; son, Albert S. Crowder and great-granddaughter, Kayla Maniccia.

Left to forever cherish her memory are her daughters, Mrs. Carol (David) Reeves of Long Beach and Mrs. Margie (Morris) Hamilton of Oxford, MS. She is also survived by her sisters, Ms. Virginia Collars, Mrs. Rachael Cooley, Mrs. Patsy (Don) Pannell, Ms. Peggy Legate and her brother, Mr. Keith (Sherry) Rawls; her grandchildren, Jason Streetman, Shelley Streetman, Jefferey (Phyllis) Reeves, Patrick (Courtney) Reeves, Morris (Kim) Hamilton III, Francis (Liam) Connor, Fritz (Jacqueline) Hamilton. Their unions blessed Norma with great-grandchildren, Madison (Bryce) Willhelm, Mallory Streetman, Owen Streetman, Tyler (Nico) Streetman, Ryan (Reagan) Maniccia, Peter Reeves, William Reeves, Harlan Reeves, Theo Hamilton, Daphne Hamilton, Henry Hamilton, Gavin Connor, Hadley Connor, and Sloane Hamilton. She has one great-great-grandson, Trenton Maniccia.

Norma enjoyed square dancing, traveling, camping and gardening. She made everyone comfortable and loved, each and every family member. The “sisters”, as we call them, took trips together and were very close and supported each other during their peaks and valleys. She did white water rafting in the Grand Canyon and enjoyed traveling with the family in Arizona, Mexico, and the Western National Parks, as well as Italy and China. She loved to entertain her grandchildren and great-grandchildren for weeks at a time during their summer breaks.

Funeral Services, officiated by Reverend Schuler Griffin from the Fountain Anglican Church in Oxford, Mississippi, will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 beginning at 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lyman.
