James Lawrence “Jim” Joubert departed this life into God’s presence on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the age of 70. Jim was born to Edward and Dora Joubert on February 21, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from New Orleans Academy, he furthered his education, earning his bachelor’s degree. He spent most of his adult life in the New Orleans Metro area before moving to Poplarville after hurricane Katrina. He spent the last twenty years of his career educating our youth, teaching at Picayune High School up until his retirement. Jim enjoyed watching movies, discussing our political climate, was a ham radio operator and enjoyed helping his father tend to horses on their family farm. Jim will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Joseph Joubert and Dora Louise Casey Joubert.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his brothers, Edward (Diana) Joubert, Philip (Joy) Joubert and Richard Paul (Jeanne) Joubert as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A private service will be held by his family at a later date.
