Charles Edward Rogers Sr.

Funeral services will be at JESUS NAME HOLINESS CHURCH, 10146 Highway 11, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:00 am. Rev. Arthur Barry Duncan will officiate the service. Burial will follow in North Spoon Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Rogers was born September 19, 1947 in Poplarville, Mississippi to Dolph Rogers and Louise Sullivan Rogers. He was a member of Greater Life Apostolic Church in Carriere. He was a retired truck driver with Pearl River County, Mississippi.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Odom Rogers; and several brothers and sisters.

Family members include three daughters, Tammy Rogers, Connie Strickland, Susan Hicks (Jessie Hicks); two sons, Charles E. Rogers, Jr. (the late Lynn Rogers), Stephen Rogers (Nikki Rogers); four brothers, Ray Rogers, Tommy Rogers, Soddy Rogers, Jimmy Rogers; four sisters, Daisy Smith, Laverne Kleyle, Pris Hearndon, Cynthia Morris; eleven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Willie Strickland, Christopher Ghersanich, Jon Rogers, Austin Rogers, Dakota Saucier, and Darrell Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Rogers, Kaden Rogers, and Brayden Hicks.
