Brenda Sue Tate Balbero of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 64. Brenda was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on March 23, 1960 to Clayton Tate Sr. and Edna Ruth Simmons Tate. She was raised in Independence, Louisiana and then met her husband in Hammond, Louisiana where they started their family. His military career moved them around south Louisiana and they eventually retired to make Poplarville home. Brenda was a loving wife and a wonderful mother to her three girls. She loved her family and was kind to everyone she met. She was a humble person who enjoyed being in the comfort of her own home. She was artistic and liked to dance. She adored her eight grandchildren and spending time with them. Most importantly, she knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was at peace knowing she had a heavenly home.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Allen Balbero; brother, Charlie Ray Tate and her step-father, Larry Rex Smith.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Casey) Cotton, Jessica Rose (Matt) Brand and Jaclyn Ruth (Tyler) Balbero-Smith; grandchildren, Charlie James Cotton, Ruth Marie Cotton, Emma Faith Cotton, Wyatt Matthew Brand, Cora Lynn Brand, Ivy Rose Brand, Briar Dane Smith and Tucker Allen Smith; sister, Linda Joe (Anthony) Nicolosi; and her brother, Clayton (Catherine) Tate Jr.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12:00 pm at White Funeral Home in Poplarville. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 10:00 am until service time. Reverend Harold Glen Wheat will officiate and burial will follow at North Spoon Baptist Church Cemetery assisted by Casey Cotton, Charlie Cotton, Matt Brand, Tyler Smith, Dennis Shilling, and Clayton Shilling as pallbearers.
