Phyllis Jean Talamo

Phyllis Jean Walls Talamo, age 73, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Nursing Home in Calhoun City, MS. She was born on November 14, 1950. Phyllis was a retired cook on a tug boat for many years. She enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Fred Hartley officiating, burial will follow in Redland Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.

Survivors include her sister, Kara Hiott; brothers, Michael Walls, Ernest Walls and Larry Walls; sister-in-law, Brenda Walls; grandson, James Michael Talamo; and special friend, Joseph Talamo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Hood Walls and Effilene Criddle Walls; a son, Chadwick Michael Talamo; a sister, Linda McKee; and two brothers, Carlos Walls and Clarence Roni Walls.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Walls, Ernie Walls, Jesse Walls, Dylan Couvillion, Stephen Couvillion and Kevin Walls.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 A.M., Saturday at the funeral home.
