James "Mac" McCord Reeder

James McCord “Mac” Reeder, age 64, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 15, 1953 to James Noel Reeder and Sammye Ruth McCord Reeder. He was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Mac was the Assistant Manager of Steel-Con, Inc. in New Albany, MS. He enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, hunting and restoring his 1966 Ford Custom Cab truck and 1966 Ford Thunderbird convertible car.

Services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 19, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Debra Lay, Rev. Danny Wilburn and Rev. Earl McAnally officiating; burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Reeder; his daughter, Stephanie Reeder; and son, Chris Reeder, all of Blue Springs, MS; his two sisters, Gailya Jane Reeder Malone (Danny) of New Albany, MS and Jamie Delois Stennett (Mitch) of Laurel, MS; two sisters-in-law, Donna Cahill (Patrick) and Lisa Jackson (J.J.), both of Houston, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant daughter, Melissa Reeder, and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Golding.

Pallbearers will be Mike McCord, Jackie Cruse, Mike Brazil, Bill Stennett, Jim Stennett and Mark Golding. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Olson, Kenley Olson, Brian Olson, Joe Spencer, Chad Trout, Brent Ross, Scott Stubbs, Sean Cahill, Tony Golding and Tanner Golding.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday at Browning Funeral Home.
