Bobby Gerald Simmons passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 at his residence in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He was born to Elvis Talmadge and Alma Belle Todd Simmons and lived most of his life in Pontotoc County. Bobby was a used car dealer and an Army veteran. He enjoyed gardening, boating, deep sea fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Bobby was easy to get to know and well liked by everyone.
A private graveside service will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the Simmons family with the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Susan Simmons; his children, Gina Simmons and Stacy Simmons (Kim): his four grandchildren, Fox DeVaughn, Chloe DeVaughn, Bobby Simmons II (Elizabeth) and Lee Pearson Simmons, and a special sister-in-law and caregiver, Jeannie Medders. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ruth Simmons Keeter and two brothers, David Lee Pearson “Billy” Simmons and James Talmadge Simmons.
Pallbearers will be Stacy Simmons, Bobby Simmons II, Lee Pearson Simmons, Fox DeVaughn, Gary Simmons, Jimmy Simmons, Ben Waid, Zac Clement and Gabe Clement and Don Medders.
