W. Peter Swanson was born on November 1, 1942, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Otto W. and Betty (Peterson) Swanson. He graduated from Bates College in 1964, and Rutgers Graduate School of Public Accounting in 1965. He moved to South Florida in 1992 from New Hartford, New York. He was a retired CPA and of the Lutheran faith. He was also a member of Mensa.
He is Survived by his wife, Carolyn Melander Swanson, and they had been married for 50 years. He is survived by his son, Mark Swanson, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and was predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer S. Morris, of Old Town, Florida. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Samantha Morris, Madison Morris, and Peter Swanson Morris, all of Old Town, Florida.
Funeral arrangements are with Kraeer Funeral Home, 1199 E. Sample Road, Pompano Beach.
