KENNEY, Peter Hoey, 71, of Lighthouse Point, FL, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in his home. Born in NY, he was a longtime resident of both South FL and CO. Galway, Ireland. Peter served in the US Army and retired from Bell South / AT&T. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Pompano, the Elks Lodge of Pompano and the C.W.A. of Ft. Lauderdale. He is survived by his wife, Boots Kenney and sister, Mary Lou McCarty. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4pm on Monday. A service celebrating Peter’s life will be held on Tuesday, 11:00am, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Deerfield Beach Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of the above mentioned organizations.
