Mayda Rodriguez, 89 of Matanzas, Cuba, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018. She was born to the late Sergio and Juana Ramos on November 9, 1928.Mayda is survived by her daughter Dania Rodriguez, daughter-in-law Isabella Vazquez, sisters Miriam Ramos and Erlantina “Tina” Vanderhagen, brother Sergio “Tito” Ramos, a sister-in-law Clara Ramos and nieces and nephews.Mayda was well known for her singing and gardening. As a soprano, she recorded a vinyl in New York City and was complimented from the City of Oakland Park for her garden.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 9pm on Saturday, October 27th at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 200 W. Copans Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. The funeral and graveside service will be held the following morning at 10am at the same location. A church service will be held in her honor on November 11th at 1pm at First Christian Church of Wilton Manors, 2725 NE 14th Ave., Oakland Park, FL 33334.
