Born in the southern Italian town of Belmonte Calabro to Francesco and Maria Brusco, Joseph immigrated to the United States after surviving World War II as a child. Joseph would later relocate his family to south Florida in 1973 to become a successful restauranteur. His namesake restaurant, Brusco’s, still is in business today.
An avid automobile enthusiast, Joseph would restore over a dozen classic cars during his time in Florida. Joseph Brusco was an active member of The Packard Club and the Alfa Romeo Owner’s Club (AROC) USA.
Joseph is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Rita Brusco. His sister Angela (Joseph) Veltri and sister-in-law Pina Brusco. His children Maria (Nunzio) Osso, Francesco (Elsa) Brusco, and Anthony Brusco. His grandchildren Joseph (Jade) Osso, Elisa (Calogero) Ilardi, Sarah Brusco, Mia Brusco, Frankie Brusco and Sophia Brusco. His great grandchildren Alyssa Osso, Eliana Ilardi and Luca Ilardi. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Joseph is pre-deceased by his siblings Anthony (Lina) Brusco and Eugenio Brusco. His niece Gloria Veltri.
Joseph Brusco will always be known for his generosity. His actions changed the lives of his loved ones on three continents.
