Fernando Fernandez, 69, of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, passed away on June 14, 2014 in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Viewing will be held 5:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, June 20th; 9:00AM-10:00PM, Saturday, June 21st at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 200 W Copans Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33064.

Mass and funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:30AM on June 21st at St. Elizabeth of Hungary, with the Father Harry Loubriel officiating. Burial services will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetary. Arrangements are by Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Fernando was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to Fernando and Mercedes on November 6, 1944. He went to school at Food and Maritime Trades School in New York City, New York. He married Mirta Cintron on May 22, 1965 in Bronx, New York. He worked as a chef for Tracy’s Nine Mile House for over 20 years.

He was an amazing Husband, Dad, Grandfather, and Friend. He was a gentle and fun loving man who always put his family above all and always there for everyone no matter what. He was loved by all and will be ultimately missed forever in eternity.

Fernando is survived by his wife, Mirta; his three sons, Fernando Jr., Scott and Jason; Sisters Rosa, Yvonne and Sonia; 6 grandchildren, Fernando Richard, Isabella, Jada, Scott-Joseph Fernando, Jason Jr., and Kymoni.
