Ruth (Seguin) Lemon

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished mother on October 7 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael (Mickey) 12 years ago. Devoted and dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Michele (Ralph), Glenda (the late Paul Leger), Gary (Mieke), Gayle (Larry) and Mark (Alison). Loving and proud grandmother of Laura (Kyle Dymock), Scott Girouard (Sarah), Steffan Lemon (Samantha), Michael Lemon, Kate and Matthew Lemon and her great-grandson Evan Dymock. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews Barbara and Joe Milanovic, Bill and Glenna Seguin, Lori and John Cane and Ronnie Lemon. Predeceased by her brothers Bill and Jim.

Mom volunteered at the Royal Victoria Hospital for over 20 years and helped run the local ballet school her children attended. Friends and family happily remember the good times we had at our parents’ home, with Christmas Eve being the highlight of the year.

Mom was a proud and accomplished paddler for the Grand Truck Boating Club. She and her friends were Dominion Champions in 1949 and Provincial Champions in 1950.

Mom showed great courage and determination as she confronted a series of health challenges in her later years.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 14 from 1:00 – 3:00 with a Memorial Service to follow at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes, 5610 Sherbrooke St W, Montreal. Burial will take place at a later date.
