Marie Micheline (Mickey) Béluse

It is with the most profound sadness that we announce that Marie Micheline Jacqueline Béluse (Mickey) left her body on July 25, 2023, to join her parents, many friends, and animal companions that she loved so much in life.

On earth, Micheline was a sensitive, gregarious, curious, talented, unique soul with impeccable taste, a great laugh, and a sincere wide smile that was truly unrivalled. When she smiled, you could literally count every tooth in her mouth!

Mickey had many interests throughout her life. She loved and cared deeply for animals, was an avid reader, grew the most beautiful plants, cooked with the skill of a Michelin-starred Chef, became a Master Spinner and enjoyed spending quality time with Ashley and Frances dyeing wool and traveling together to reenactment festivals where she would delight in meeting up with friends and teaching children the ‘miracle’ of spinning wool. Later, she took on the difficult hobby of making lace, a testament to how she was able to excel at anything that she set her mind to. Despite her small stature, Mickey filled any room that she was in with her presence, and when she left her body, she left us all with a huge void that will be impossible to fill by anyone else. She is survived by a very long list of people who love her. The fact is that she will be missed by everyone who came into contact with her. We wish Mickey an eternity of love and peace and know that she will be lovingly watching over us all.

Mickey chose to be cremated, and her family will hold an intimate burial service for her at Ste-Rose-de-Lima in Îsle-Perrot, Qc. In Mickey’s honour and to celebrate her life, the family asks that you keep her memory alive by sharing stories about her and donate to your favorite local animal rescue organization in Mickey’s name. She would absolutely love that!
