Passed into the next life after an intense and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 53. Ardently missed by her husband Nitin Janardhanam; parents-in-law Jana and Sudha; brothers Kevin (Miriam) and Paul (Jennifer); brother-in-law Ramesh (Neethi); grandmother-in-law Raji; and nieces and nephews Megan, Leanne, Erica, Vinay, Sarah, Matthew, Joseph, Anuj, Evelyn, James, Clare and Henry. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Edwina and her brother Mark. Lovingly remembered by her godmother Teresa; her other aunts and uncles Patrick (Patricia), Bosco, Tony, Josepha, Gemma (Biren), Prem (Hema), Lakshman (Vatsala), Lakshmi (Viswes), Uma (Santhanam), and Jayanthi (Parthasarathy); her many cousins and friends; those who attended and worked at St. Thomas à Becket Summer Day Camp; and colleagues, students and alumni from Loyola High School and McGill University.
Lisa’s Catholic faith was deep and abiding. She loved teaching and cared deeply for her students and family. She taught us her greatest lesson in her final months by accepting God’s will in her cancer prognosis and uniting the overwhelming pain she suffered to Our Lord’s Passion and death. Resquiescat in pace.
Visitation at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White (222 A 20, Pointe-Claire) on Wednesday, January 4th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Thomas à Becket Church (4320 Saint-Anne St, Pierrefonds) on Thursday, January 5th at 11 a.m., followed by an interment at St. Geneviève Cemetery (20176 Gouin Ouest, Pierrefonds). In her memory, Masses, prayers for her soul and donations to the Loyola High School Bursary Fund, Campaign Life Coalition, and Cedars Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
