With sadness the family announces the passing of Gordon Bruce English, age 82 at West Island Palliative Care, Pointe Claire, QC on Thursday July 6, 2017. Beloved husband of Linda (Reid). Loving father of Heather (Bill Bolinder) and Stuart (Norie Campbell) and loving step-father of John Gibson (Catherine Walsh) and William Gibson (Caralin Miles). Dear grandfather of Bruce and Sean, Conor and Shanagh and Dexton and Rowan. Fondly remembered by his cousin Adrian Dalziel and his many nieces, nephews and friends including many of his students at Concordia University.
Visitation will be held at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home at 222, autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, QC on Sunday July 9, 2017 from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Edmund of Canterbury at 105 Boulevard Beaconsfield, Beaconsfield, QC on Monday July 10, 2017 at 1:30 pm.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held following the funeral mass at the Montreal West Curling Club at 17 Ainslie Road, Montreal West, QC.
