Bernice was born and raised in Montreal and had a wide circle of lifelong friends with whom she kept in touch. She was a great letter writer and maintained relationships with friends and family all over the world. Giving dinner parties was a great pleasure for her and many of these went on until the early hours of the morning. She loved entertaining.
In her single days, she was Secretary to the Treasurer (Charles) of Charles E. Frosst and Co. She always said he was the best boss in the world.
In 1954, she met her soul mate, Bill and marriage followed in 1955. Their home was built in Pointe Claire where they raised their family and happily lived for 56 years. From there, they moved to the Pointe Claire Wellesley. After Bill retired and the kids left the nest, they continued to travel to numerous countries and twice drove across Canada visiting family and friends.
For many years, Bernice was a proud member of the Valois United Church Women’s Group and for 5 years, a volunteer at the VON Café in Ste Anne’s.
Bernice always said she lived an enchanted life.
