Robert Edmund Richardson

Robert “Bob” Edmund Richardson, 93, of Plant City, entered into Heaven’s Gates on January 20, 2023. He was born on January 6, 1930 in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada to John Albert and Margarite Hogan Richardson.

He later moved from Canada to the United States where he became active in the transportation industry. He drove, busses, limousines, semi-trucks and occasionally chauffeured celebrities.

He was of the Christian Faith, loved his wife, family and dancing. He was a life-long New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox Fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeffrey Richardson, Son-in-law Michael Welch, stepson Terry Davis, stepdaughter Mary Jo Fields, sister Jean Savage, and brothers Donald, William, and Derald Richardson.

He is survived by his loving wife Abby Richardson; sons R. Leo, Kevin (Carrie), and Timothy (Dawn) Richardson; daughters Kathleen Welch and Jean LoPizzo (John); stepchildren Bill Davis (Kathy), Paul Davis (Sheryl), Helene Davis Nunez (Randy), Teddy Davis (Janice), and Paula Davis Meyers (Brent); 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as 21 step grandchildren and 47 step great grandchildren.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 W. Reynolds Street, Plant City, Florida 33563 beginning at 10:00 a.m. A funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m.
