Geraldine McNutt

Geraldine (Geri) McCune McNutt, age 87, of Plant City, FL, passed away peacefully at Lifepath Hospice House on July 14, 2023. Geri’s wish was to be cremated and placed in Bushnell National Cemetery with her husband.

She was born in Indiana, PA and moved to Pittsburgh where she married Edward Robert McNutt who preceded her death after 50 years of marriage. Geri is survived by her daughter, Kelli Foote, of Plant City, FL, Kelli’s husband Bryan Foote, and granddaughter, Samantha Foote.

While living in Tampa she enjoyed being part of the Pittsburgh Steelers fan club and consulting at nursing homes. Most recently she was a member of the Plant City Woman’s Club, was active in the Plant City YMCA Silver Sneakers, and volunteered at her granddaughter’s school.

Geri helped with fostering numerous dogs for 4 Lucky Dogs Pet Rescue. She made the dogs feel comfortable in a new foster home environment and the foster dogs enjoyed sitting with her. Geri owned a shirt with the saying “Foster Dog Grandma” and wore it proudly.
