Sue was born on July 17, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois a daughter of Milton Paul Johnson and Evelyn (Pinney) Johnson.
Cremation Rites will be accorded and a private family service will be held.
Sue was preceded in death by her son Paul Zabriskie who had three children: Ashley Zabriskie, Zack Zabriskie and Trenton Zabriskie.
Sue is survived by her daughter: Linda Samano of Plano, Texas.
Her daughter: Bonnie Athens and her husband John Athens of Carrollton, Texas.
Two grandchildren:
Grandson George Athens and his wife Stacy Athens of Michigan
And granddaughter Amber Athens.
Two great grandchildren: Addyson Athens-7 and John Athens-5.
Sue Wright grew up in Chicago and was an only child.
She married my Dad at the age of 20.It was when Bonnie was 4 years old that the family relocated to Dallas, Texas for her husband's work.
She went back to college in her thirties and got her BSN.
Her first nursing job was an ER nurse at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
She also was a nurse for a Urologist for several years.
Eventually she became a Psychiatric RN and worked at Terrell State Hospital and Green Oaks in Dallas.
Her hobby of passion was playing Bridge. She played weekly until eventually being diagnosed with Alzheimer's prevented her from playing anymore.
She also volunteered at the Suicide Prevention Crisis line.
She was also very active in her Lutheran church in Gun Barrell City, Texas.
She also was a very loving Mother of 3.
