Rosemary had a loving heart - willing to help anyone she could.

Rosie was a great person to work with while building her house.  She always had a smile and was looking forward to moving in.

My early memories of Rosemary and her siblings: When I was small and my family lived on a cattle ranch near Era, TX. They came on holidays to visit grandparents. It was always a fun time. I got to spend some good times with Rosie after I graduated high school and moved to Grand Prairie. She introduced me to my first wife, and a wonderful son came from that union.

Oh my how can I describe Rosie and what she brought to Habitat?  She was a spark of joy everyday and often came up with the unexpected causing a lot of good old fashioned laughter.  One of a kind without a doubt.  She will be missed.

One of our favorite memories of Rosie is when she was just a very young teen, and Betty and Johnny were dating. Rosie wanted a jambox but knew it was too expensive to ask for at Christmas because times were hard then. 

Johnny bought her one and was carring it in the trunk of his car. She saw it, and said it must be for Betty, because a brother wouldn't spend that much on a kid sister. When she opened it up, she was so happy she cried. Of course so did Johnny.

She had little, but would gladly share what she had with others.  Rosie brought joy to everyone around her with her smile and laugh. She will be missed by many.

I remember staying with Aunt Rosie one time when she had a pool. I did not know any better and stayed out all day long swimming. It was my first severe sunburn. In all of Aunt Rosie's wisdom she said to me "Well, I bet you don't do that again!"

Rosie never seemed to know a stranger. 
She was an open book and loved everyone.
Her smile and "Howdy! How are Ya?" could brighten my day, no matter how poorly the day was going. 
I was fortunate to work with her, be her family support mentor and call her friend.  She was a treasure!
My heart goes out to her family, but I know she is with her Mama and Daddy. And with her good friend Sherleen, Thelma & Louise together again - "Let the Good Times Roll".  Heaven will be filled with Joy and Laughter!  Love, Dawn

Always ready to engage in conversation, Rosie was a true Texan.  We shared short but meaningful words and feelings around the office.   I always liked what she had to say.

Rosie and started at Habitat together. She and I became friends and she was so special and kind to everyone. Rosie was always trying to help someone, i think her sweet spirit and gentle demeanor were characteristics that I can only hope to have. In 10 years I never really saw her mad but I did see lots of smiles and we laughed so much together. I know heaven is a much brighter place.

Rosie was such a joy to have in our front office at Hábitat. She was always willing to give hugs freely and loved on everyone that came in the door.  She wanted to help everyone she could and encouraged all visitors to apply for a Habitat house "just like hers". She was adored by my kids and my daughter Sofia gave her Rosie the robot from the Jetsons to have on the front desk.  We even named our Roomba vacuum "Rosie the robot" after her. 
We will miss her dearly.  She was such joy to everyone she served.

I fondly remember Rosie's smile and kind words every time I visited the office.  She was an asset to the organization and personified everything that is good and right about Habitat for Humanity.

I was one of many that helped put Rosie's home together.  I was very happy to see her join us at the front desk.  Whenever I called from 'where ever' Rosie knew it was me and always knew who I needed to speak with.  Then the fun would start.  We would tease back and forth like a couple of high school kids or cousins or brother and sister.  She would never let me walk through the front door without a, " Hey you, hold up a minute" or "I gotta check your ID" or "We gotta date tonight or what!  Well, maybe that was me... but the teasing would go on and on.  What a hoot!

I will truly miss you dear Rosie.  One special lady!

I worked with Rosie in the front office at Habitat. She had a welcoming spirit, ready smile, and an infectious laugh along with a great sense of humor.

Rosie always greeted everyone with a wonderful smile. She had a great sense of humor and loved serving people. We will miss her dearly here at Habitat. Thanks, Rosie for all you did to bring a little bit of sunshine to everyone's lives. From your fellow worker and friend at NCC Habitat for Humanity.

Although we have not been close since our kids grew up, Rosie has always been a part of my life. I think I laughed with her more than any other person. I can still hear her laughter and her saying 'Oh, well'.

Rosemary was just a teenager when I became a member of the family. Regardless of how often we saw her at family gatherings, etc. Bob (Bobby) always had to tell the story of her wearing his new tennis shoes when she and Rosa Lee decided to walk to Lake Texoma one summer. Not sure of the validity of the story but according to him his new shoes were returned completely worn out. She always would get so embarrassed. Rosemary had a contagious smile and she was always very sweet & kind to me. I was just another cousin. She will definitely be missed by her immediate and extended families. My prayer for all that loved her is that your hearts will be comforted by the one that can do it best..our Lord Jesus Christ.

When I was a little girl , Aunt Rosie would babysit us...she was always smiling, full of mirth, she played records for us...I remember her singing to "trailers for sale or rent" and something about playing solitaire and watching Captain Kangaroo...now don't tell me I've nothing to dooooo....makes me smile remembering her playful spirit....wish I could have seen her one more time....love

Rosie always had a great smile and laugh. She had a quick joke/reply to almost everything. In a family of jokers, she was one of the best.

Rosie's quick smile and sweet since of humor will be something I'll carry in my heart forever. The picture of her smiling face is what I'll see whenever I think of her. I will miss my little 'Sis'.

I will miss seeing you and hearing the way you would say my name:  Daaarrrlene.  I wish you peace as you rest forever.

I remembered a conversation we had so many years ago. I still think about it and smile. I can't remember what started the conversation but Aunt Rosie asked how she only had 2 sisters and my dad and uncle had 3!  I remember we all looked at her and said, because you are the third sister!!  
She was something special and had such a contagious smile. She will be greatly missed.
