Known as Craig to his family and friends, he lived a life characterized by love, dedication, and a profound passion for golf.
Born on July 8, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, Craig spent the majority of his life in the Dallas area, particularly in Richardson and Plano, Texas. He had a successful career as a salesman with National Cash Register (NCR) for over 25 years. Craig was married to his beloved wife, Patricia Sue Ritter, from April 27, 1963, until her passing on March 4, 2024. Their 60-year marriage was a shining example of their enduring love and commitment.
Craig is survived by his three sons: Doug (and wife Susan, along with their children Ryan and Jake), Jon, and Brian (and wife Tammy, along with their children Ashley, Alyson, and Abigail). He is also survived by his sisters, Sally Murphy and Susan Emmel, both of Dayton, Ohio. Craig was preceded in death by his brother, John “Bobby” Robert Ritter. His family finds comfort in the cherished memories of a man who was a devoted father and a source of joy and inspiration.
In lieu of flowers, the Ritter family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, honoring Craig’s dedication to a cause that deeply affected him and his loved ones.
A memorial service/visitation celebrating Craig’s life will be held on August 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th St Plano, Texas 75074. A private family graveside service will occur at Plano Mutual Cemetery immediately following the service.
Craig will be remembered for his kind spirit, his love of golf, and the steadfast support he provided to his family and friends. His legacy of warmth and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him.
