My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Kelly family at this sad time. Mary was such a wonderful caring person who made me feel welcome and part of the family when I moved to Dallas from Ireland 33 years ago. She included me in so many family meals, including thanksgivings and Christmas’s. She always made everyone welcome in her home and wanted to feed them whether it was a big meal or just some apple pie which she loved. Mary would meet you at her door with her arms outstretched for a hug and her greeting was always “welcome, welcome, welcome” with a huge smile on her face. Mary loved her family so much and was a deeply religious person. I remember saying the rosary with her on many occasions when it was just the 2 of us in the house. I will miss her dearly. Rest In Peace Mary.

I am thankful that Mrs. Kelly shared her sweet son, Brian, with me all these years and that she cared about my own son, Shane.  Both boys were blessed to have this caring person to look up to.  May she Rest In Peace & may Brian take comfort in knowing he was lovingly there for her as needed.

My condolences to the entire Kelly family.  Brian and I have been friends for over 41 years.  During those years we have had our good times and some not so good times with Mrs. Kelly.  When we were in "trouble" with Mrs. Kelly it would scare the daylights out of me.  With her heavy accent I knew she was mad but couldn't understand a word she was saying, probably for the better, and there would be Brian going "come on Shane, we'll be alright."  All I wanted to do was get out of there and to safety.  Now the interesting thing about that is the next time I would head over to the house, still scared, there was Mrs. Kelly being friendly and congenial like nothing had happened previously.  Amazing and somewhat confusing.  Thank you for everything Mrs. Kelly.  I love you and will miss you.

We have very fond memories of Mary. She was always so joyful and happy to be in our presence. When she visited Ireland and saw the little children around the place, maybe it brought back many happy memories of her childhood in both Tillaughna and Ballinglanna. She had such a glowing smile and we can all agree with that - most all pictures shows this!!! 

You know in the way she spoke that Family was so very important to her and we now know that we need to protect this huge gift. The family is the basic unit of society and Mary promoted this everywhere she went. 

Mary came to every one of the Donegan children's wedding. Yes, all 9 weddings!
 So thank you Mary and thanks for all your prayers and blessings. We hope that your example will inspire all generations. Thanks to 3 great men, in Brian, Kevin and John who will carry on her memory to all the extended Kelly Family.

We now pray for you Mary and with the help of Almighty God, we will see you again in all your glory.

I will miss you and thank you for supporting me to become the man I am today. Throughout life, the good and the bad, you have always been there with a loving hug, kiss, and a reassuring ‘I love you’. 

There are countless memories we have shared as a family and those will always bring  a smile to my face. You were always there to support us, guide us, feed us, and make us feel loved. 

I know you are with god, dad, and all your loved ones who left us. Have fun, laugh, dance, continue your faith, and watch over us.   We will do what we can to make you proud of us.  We are forever Mary’s and Jack’s sons. 

We love you and thank you. 


I was lucky enough to be Mary’s grandson for the last 17 years of her life and get to form a strong connection with joyous memories. Christmas and Thanksgiving spent with my Nan will be cherished through the apple pies we ate, gifts we exchanged and laughs we shared. Losing her was a huge loss to our family but she will live on through our fond memories of her kindness and love. 

I was lucky enough to have Mary as my mother in law for the last 10 years. She was kind, funny, opinionated and had an infectious laugh that I can still hear. We spent many holidays together cooking, cleaning, sharing cooking techniques/recipes and having fun being women in a house full of males. We talked skincare, fashion and we loved to dress up. She was fancy and grand for all of our outings- to church, evenings out and casual visits to see her grandchildren. She was beautiful inside and out. Even when she was nagging her children she was smiling and emanating love. She lived a life of service - to God, her children, family and friends. Even in her last many months it was foreign to her to have a helper, as she was always helping others throughout her life. Her one request every visit was to go to mass - to pray for all of us. She was generous and thoughtful- never missing a birthday, life event or holiday without sending her blessings if she was not able to be with us. She never took life for granted- telling us “thank you” repeatedly for the smallest of things, always telling us how much she loved us, when I would leave to run errands she would thank me and also thank me for coming home as she wanted to enjoy every moment together. She has made me a better person by leading a selfless example. We will always strive to make her proud. We love her and will always miss her. We are thankful for all of our time together and will cherish our memories.

Mary Kelly always had a smile and a warm greeting whenever I saw her.

To the family of Mary Kelly:  The time it takes to heal from a great loss is different for each of us. God knows our hearts and always walks with us  at the perfect pace of His comforting grace. Mary Kelly has always been an unforgettable personality , since I first met her through my Marian Movement of Priest activities, Schoenstatt rosaries, the Queen of Peace Center guest speakers, and the Fatima Cotton Bowl Rally with our blue Scarfs. Being with Mary Kelly was always like hanging out with Your most special friend. She was like Royalty, but the shocker was she also cooked the whole meal for you! I remember one special December Cold day, she had invited several of us girlfriends over for a bite, I was thinking hot soup would be fun. Boy, to my surprise! We were all treated to an elegant meal with all the trimmings. She was a unique person with all the beauty, kindness, and yes,  Godliness that stood out, that made  one wonder why was that day so special or thank You, Jesus for sharing a view of your Mother's love for us. I always favored the Irish movies, accents, St Patrick's Breastplate prayer, 3 leaf clovers, Trinity, the Irish Blessing to ALL. I am glad to claim my DNA 5% Irish (Mexican 49%), because of Mary Kelly in my life! New Saint in heaven, thanks for your intercession! 

Thank you Ms Mary for each and every outing that I was able to attend with you.  You made them so very special and memorable. 

Thanks be to God, I was blessed to accompany Ms Mary on several trips around Texas.  She was a kind hearted lady.  She loved each and every friend she had and allowed us to love her back.  She was generous at all times with her love, finances, prayers, and beautiful smile.

Never was there a time when we met that she did not assure me of her prayers for me.  I already miss her beyond words.

With deepest sympathy to all her family and her dear friends, too.  Thinking of you all, and wishing you peace and comfort.

Perpetual light shine upon her.  May she Rest in Peace.

I met Mary many years ago when I came to St. Elizabeth's parish to join the Marian Movement  of Priests organization. ( I was a member  of  St. Mark.) We became instant friends.  We made our Covenant  to the Blessed Mother together in Rockport, Tx & were roommates!  In 2012  we made a pilgrimage to  the orinigal  shrine in Schonstatt, Germany which also included a stop in Rome!    Thanks to  Brian who took  us  to & from the airport!  We  became traveling  pals several other times!  What wonderful memories I have of  our trips & times together!  She's  always included in  my daily rosaries!  I  miss her smile & her accent! ( My parents came from Germany & I was always fascinated  by people's accents!) .

I met Mary shortly after joining in on the daily rosary  after morning mass at Seton just a few years ago.  She always sat in the same seat in the Sanctuary and she'd lead the second decade in her gentle voice.  Your presence - beautiful smile and soul will be missed by all, rest in peace.

Mary was so beautiful in every sense. She was a true friend, and a good listener. She also had a word of consolation every time I needed one.

She was a very devoted Catholic Parishoner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and also devoted to her prayer groups where we’ve met. 
I treasured her beautiful smile and unique laugh.

My friend Mary will always be in my heart. She had left from this world, but not forgotten. She had a compassionate and kind heart to everyone she met.

Mary was a very strong woman. I admired her determination to cure her illness and I’m glad I was able to assist her during those times of need.

Mary will be deeply missed.

Mary Kelly was a kind, loving, witty, matter of fact lady. I had the great pleasure to meet her first at MMP Cenacle and thereafter at mass, adoration, and other events. 
Being of Indian origin, my husband & I went for the citizenship classes held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. We were so surprised to meet Mary there and learn that she still didn’t have her citizenship inspite of living in USA for so long. Her reasoning was simple — She never felt the need before and preferred to remain Irish and a green card holder. We had such fun in the classes and we cheated galore to help each other learn all the correct answers!!!
I remember once at a Cenacle lunch I had made a no bake cheesecake and it hadn’t set well. So I looked at Mary while she was cutting a slice and apologized for the way it broke apart. She said “Well, not your finest dish” and I started laughing. I loved her ability to tell it like it is. 
She was an excellent cook and would readily share her recipes. I am grateful to have three: Chantilly chicken, baked salmon, and her delicious chilli. 
My family and I simply loved meeting her in church, and we will miss her.

I met Mary over 30 years ago.  We became immediate friends.  On our first cruise together, Mary decided to do a dance routine on stage for the evening performance!  She was just unbelievable on the stage and when taking her bow the applause didn’t stop.

She loved her three son’s dearly, she so wished with the marriages of her two sons to have as great a marriage as she and her love of life, John did.  She was also so appreciative that Brian remained home with her, and for all  the wonderful care he gave to her.

In all the years I knew her, she never missed going to Adoration, never said a harsh word against anyone, and was so generous to everyone she met.  Her wonderful smile was never off her face.  If anyone could go straight to Heaven, it would be Mary, our beautiful “Irish Colleen.”  We now have our special Irish Angel to pray for us!

God Bless you Mary and may your soul Rest In Peace!  Our prayers are with the family, but know Mary is right there with them as always!  

I will never forget my dearest, beautiful friend, Mary Kelly.  She had the most lilting laugh.  Everyone would laugh with her out of sheer joy.  I have memories of her here at our home with my mom, talking and laughing with her.

Mom came to live with us in 1992, after my dad went to God.  My dad also loved Mary.  He met her 33 years ago when they were visiting us for six months.

She always made the most delicious salmon for our monthly Cenacle meetings.  She was on my rotations of Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt Shrines.  We gathered around her dining room table, when our Cenacle was at her home, many years ago.

Bob would drive us to Shreveport, with Grace Phillips and to the Schoenstatt  Shrine in Lamar.  They were always roommates on these trips.

Now Bob, Mary, Rosanna and Louis are together in Heaven, praying for us on our Journey to God.

To each and all the Kelly Family, I wish to send my heartfelt sorrow in the loss of Mary. My memories of Mary when we first met was that beautiful Irish accent. She was so soft spoken but from the first time we met I noticed her smile and welcome that would warm anyone's heart. Mary's personality was so kind, warm, and generous to each and every person she met, that is the memory I will always have of Mary.
The MMP Rosary Cenacle is where I usually spoke to Mary after prayers but it was in Church where most would see Mary in her very deep devotion to her Faith. May she now rest in peace in her heavenly home, 

Our Christian sisterhood began, as I met our lovely Mary Kelly at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Holy Catholic Mass, & other Christian gatherings.  She & I have shared several joyous, hopeful, & prayerful occasions, including within her home.  She was always so gracious to me,  adding her specialness to the memory of each occasion in her soft spoken gentle way. 
I thank God for her touches within my life…  God Speed sister, as God shares with you the Holy Purity of His Heavenly Kingdom… I love you, Mary, & have you within my heart forever…amen🕊🌹🕊

I can't say enough about Mary.  She was such an easy going, generous, & loving soul.  Not only was she a good friend but the best traveling partner you could have. We went all over the world together; the Holy Land, Egypt, Poland, Rome, Medjugorje, Russia, Korea, China, Japan, Ireland and other parts of the U.S. Through out these trips I loved the way she laughed which would make me laugh just as hard.  I will never forget the time we got on the plane to go home from the Holy Land.  She sat down with my sister with her quick speak she said, "I'm so glad to be out of that God forsaken place." My sister couldn't believe what she said which was so out of character that she started laughing so hard and Mary joined in.  I turned around to check to see what the noise was all about & sure enough  it was their laughter which made me join in.  We must have laughed for five minutes or more.  If you don't think this is funny you needed to be there.
          In closing I will really miss her.  She was like a gentle rock that we could always depend on.  I will continue to pray for her and the family.  



Sincere condolences Brian, Kevin, John and all the family. Mary was such a wonderful Aunt, we in Ireland have such wonderful memories of her loving smile and big heart. She always said before she left Ireland 'Come to America!' which I'm so glad we did eventually did in 2010. She made us so welcome. May you rest in peace now Mary. You are in our thoughts and prayers always xxxx

To Brian, Kevin, John, and extended family.  Mary was such a shining light in the lives she touched.  Whether meeting people at the Rose of Tralee Festival, a Dallas Irish American Society function, get togethers at her lovely home, or with friends like Sheila Byrne Cody,(R.I.P.) she was always up for a chat and a good laugh!  She also adored her grandchildren!
Mary, you kept the Faith, fought the good fight, and now God is holding you in the Palm of His Hand. R.I.P.
