Lourdes Ignacio

Lourdes moved to Texas at the age of 16, and graduated from Richardson High School. She went on to attend El Centro Community College, where she earned her degree in Fashion Design. Lourdes was blessed to truly enjoy her work as she was a seamstress for many years; her children had the best Halloween costumes every year thanks to their talented mother.

Lourdes was a loving mother and grandmother, with four grandsons whom she absolutely adored. She loved photography, and enjoyed taking pictures of her family in the blue bonnets every year. She was an amazing gardener, carefully tending and taking great pride in her beautiful roses.

As a devoted Catholic, Lourdes cherished her faith and was a parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton for many years. She had a heart of gold, always willing to help others with selfless love. Lourdes was a person one could rely on whenever they needed her, she always had a piece of advice and a listening ear. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Lourdes leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children and their spouses, Dustin & Ami Reid of Plano, Milagros & Greg Gonzalez of Wylie; Shawna Salazar of Frisco; and Gustavo Martinez & Selina Weber of Allen; four grandchildren, Alex, Astin, Isaac, and Santiago; brother and sister-in-law, Orlando & Ceci Reyes of Southlake; and sister, Alice Reyes of Miami, FL.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 6-9pm, with a Rosary service beginning at 7pm, in Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th St. Plano, TX 75074. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11am in the funeral home, with interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rowlett.
