Jack Elliott Tyler was born on May 9, 1931 in San Saba, Texas to Jerry Jefferson Tyler and Mary Zela Elliott.
Jack worked at Convair Aircraft in Fort Worth, TX where he met and later married Nanette Douglas in 1958. They traveled and lived all over the United States. California, New York, Massachusetts, Maine and Oregon. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1962 with a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering.
In 1965, Jack began working for General Electric as a member of their Missile and Space Division located at NASA or what is today known as The Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Jack moved his family to Pearland, Texas and continued to work for NASA until his retirement in 1991.
Jack and his wife were proud parents of two children. Lee and Jaclyn.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Billie Geneva Robinson-Adams, his son Lee Elliott Tyler, and his loving wife Nanette Douglas Tyler.
He is survived by his daughter Jeri Jaclyn Crisp, her daughters Kathryn Elaine Crisp, and Caroline Leigh Crisp. Along with Kathryn's fiance Ashton Tillery. He is also survived by his daughter in-law Kelly Tyler, her daughter Kaitlyn Elizabeth Wiens and her husband Joel Wiens.
Jack also leaves to cherish his memory his brother Butler Tyler, sisters Flodell Easterly and Jeri Tyler McDonald. And many extended relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service & Celebration of Life for Jack will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas, 75074.
