Jack graduated as Valedictorian from Kilbourne High School, in Kilbourne, Louisiana. He met his bride, Carolyn, at Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Louisiana. They were married on December 23, 1956. Jack later received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana Tech.
Jack was a proud veteran, and served his country through the United States Army. A position at Texas Instruments brought Jack and his family to Plano, Texas in 1964. Jack moved to Parker, Texas, in 1971, where he served as Councilman and Mayor of Parker.
Jack was a generous, kind man who loved life! He never met a stranger, and was a devoted family man. Jack loved the outdoors and was an avid sports fan. Some of his favorite pastimes were water skiing, boating, golf, traveling, playing chess, 5k runs, bike riding with his family, competitive bike rides; he was a beekeeper, a gardener, and the ultimate handy man. He enjoyed watching all the Dallas professional sports teams and his own Plano Wildcats. He also attended his children and grandchildrens' sports teams from soccer to baseball and everything in between.
A man of faith, Jack and family attended First Baptist Church of Plano. He sang in the choir, taught Sunday School from youth to toddlers, played on the church sports teams, and led the example of putting Christ first in your life.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn, and parents Tom and T.C. Albritton.
Jack is survived by his daughters: Jacquelin Shepherd, Aundi Gruehn Monica Jackson (J.J.) and Deidre Taylor. Grandchildren: Brittani Shepherd Harnden (Nathan), Kesli Shepherd-Newton (Josh), Jake Shepherd ( Hope), Rachel Gruehn, Alyssa Gruehn, Brandi Jackson Goecke (Chris), Lexxi Jackson, Fallon Jackson, Katerena Jackson, Ronnie Taylor and Hayley Taylor.
Jack is also survived by his 12 great-grandchildren: Noah Harnden, Titus Harnden, Evalyn Harnden, Amos Harnden, Joy Shepherd, Jack Shepherd, Sadie Goecke, Emily Carney, Ruby Carney, Justin Kirby, Mavryk Kirby and Dennis Kirby. Jack is also survived by his brothers, Mack Albritton, Bill Albritton, Dick Albritton, his sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Jack was very proud of his family.
