Garrett Colin Foster

Born on December 17, 1993, in Dallas, Texas, to Molly and James Foster, Garrett was a force of nature, a true embodiment of passion, strength, and an unwavering spirit.

Garrett's life was a testament to his resilience and determination. A black belt in Tae Kwon Do and pursuing the same in Jiu Jitsu, Garrett used his indomitable will and talent to achieve his dream of becoming a professional MMA fighter, known as "The Wolfman" in the ring.

Beyond his athletic prowess, Garrett was a multifaceted individual with a deep appreciation for the arts. He found solace in playing the guitar, singing, writing, and drawing. Garrett's other hobbies included running, mixology, chess, and tirelessly training his body, a testament to his incredible work ethic.

Garrett's impact on those around him was profound. His strong faith in God was reflected in his actions and relationships with others. He fiercely protected his friends, family, and anyone in need, always ready to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on. His introspective nature and determination inspired all who knew him. As he once wrote in his journal, "Everyone I love please be grateful for our time, for your time, and smile for those who cannot. Love your life, love your family, love your people, love yourself" These words encapsulate the essence of Garrett's compassionate soul and serve as a reminder to cherish every moment.

Garrett is preceded in death by his grandparents Ann and Walter Foster, his Aunt Cindy Maddox, and his lifelong best friend Richie Smith. Garrett is survived by his grandparents Jean and John O’Donnell, his parents Molly and James Foster, his three siblings Heather Unger, Claire Foster, and Ryan Foster, in addition to his large extended family who love him deeply.

If you wish to pay your final respects to Garrett, there will be a public viewing for all at Ted Dickey's Funeral Home (2128 18th Street Plano, Texas 75074) on Monday, June 3rd, from 4 pm to 8 pm (come and go as you wish). However, due to space constraints, the following memorial service itself will be family only.

That being said, at the end of June there will be a public Celebration of Life that the Foster family would love for any and all to attend, where we can laugh and reminisce on all the light and love Garrett brought into this world. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

Garrett's spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all to live life with passion, courage, and an unwavering commitment to the things that truly matter.
