Bob Wyman, 58, of Pollock Pines, CA, blessed the world with his presence on November 1, 1959 and passed from his earthly life and into the arms of the Lord on November 14, 2017 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He courageously fought a three year battle with esophageal cancer.
Bob was born in San Jose, CA. He graduated from Santa Clara High School. He then attended an automotive trade school to pursue a career in automotive mechanics. He excelled as a Master Toyota Technician for 33 years. After retiring from Toyota he followed his dream of operating a handy man service, MGB Handyman Services, with his two brothers. For the past four years he worked as a custodian for the Placerville U. S. Postal Service.
He relocated from the Bay Area to Pollock Pines in 1988 because of his love for adventure in the outdoors. As a child he and his family spent many summers camping at Wrights Lake, which is where his love for the outdoors began. Bob loved to kayak, hike, backpack, fish, camp, go off-roading and to capture the beauty of nature with photography all along the way. He was also a skilled wood craftsman. Bob enjoyed listening to music, especially the southern rock band Lynard Skynard.
In 1991, while employed at the Toyota dealership in Placerville, he met the love of his life Mari, a.k.a. Boonie and her two young daughters. Bob took on the role as family man whole heartedly. He was a committed family man, always putting his family first.
Bob, a.k.a. Pa Pa, was a happy, loving, headstrong, venturesome, caring, friendly, spirited, humorous, selfless, pleasing, honest and full of integrity kind of guy.
“Let’s go, it’s an adventure!” “Get-r-done!” “Do it! Do it now!”
-Bob Wyman-
Bob was a volunteer for the El Dorado County Search and Rescue. He went through extensive training to become a First Responder and Technical Rescuer. He LOVED the Lord. He attended Green Valley Community Church in Placerville. He did missionary work with the church in Washington D.C. to help inner city kids. While attending GVCC he ushered, served in the children’s and automotive ministries and organized and led the Hiking Ministry with his wife.
Bob was a loving husband, father, Pa Pa, brother, son, uncle and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Mari; his daughters and their spouses Reanna and Steve Liddle, Sheri and Katie Renaud; grandchildren Tayla, Kaylee, Emma, Ashlee, and Dylan; mother Margaret Wyman; brothers Mark and Greg Wyman; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his constant companion, his cat Bella. He is preceded in passing by his father, Vernon Edgar Wyman.
Bob’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Snowline Hospice, Green Valley Community Church, and his friends and family for all of their love and support.
A celebration of his life will be held at Green Valley Community Church, 3500 Missouri Flat Road, Placerville, on January 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Funeral Ministry at Green Valley Community Church or Snowline Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Chapel of the Pines, Placerville, CA.
