Mabel is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip D. Morton; her parents, Frank and Ethel Coelho; brothers Frank and Dan Coelho; and sister, Leslie (Coelho) Marra Roehl. She is survived by her children; Mark Morton and his wife Suzy (Garbarini), their children and grandchildren; Connie (Morton) Lee and her husband Gary, their children and grandchildren; Dr. James R. Morton and his wife Jessica (Waldron); and her sister Ethel (Coelho) Miksits.
Mabel grew up in San Luis Obispo, CA, attended Mission Parochial School and graduated from San Luis Obispo Senior High School.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Ladies Society, Active 20-30 "20-30ettes" and a Trustee of the Marshall Hospital Foundation.
In addition to times spent with her family, some of Mabel's happiest moments were spent in her yard among her beautiful flowers and her very special Aviary which was built by her husband, Phil.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank her friends at Marshall Hospital for their care and support throughout her time spent at the hospital.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning, June 8th, 2012, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Placerville, CA. Father John Cantwell will officiate.
