Donald Herbert Boltz passed away at home with his family beside him on October 5, 2024 at the age of 85, in Cameron Park, CA after medical complications. Don was married to the love of his life and dance partner, Jeannette, for 63 years and was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his sisters, Trudy Richard of Borrego Springs, and Mary Boltz (Randy Smith) of Chino Hills, his wife Jeannette, their 4 children, Karen Wolfe of Placerville (Peter), Laura Holck of Calgary (Phil), Greg Boltz of Plymouth (Nina), and Valerie Kurtz of San Diego (Doug), 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Don was an electrical engineer for the LA Department of Water & Power for 32 years, standing as a pillar of integrity, honesty, and mentorship, and moved to El Dorado County after his retirement in 1994. He was deeply devoted to his family and the Catholic faith, and gave many years of ministry and service to his community through Marriage Encounter, the Knights of Columbus, Stephen Ministry, and Parent Project. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Don’s life at a memorial mass and reception on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 11am, at Holy Trinity Parish 3111 Tierra de Dios Drive in El Dorado Hills.
