Roberta M. Rush, 91, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 in Pittsburgh. She was born to the late William and Jeanette (Vickers) Rusheisen on December 28, 1931. In addition to her parents, Roberta is preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Byrtus; and her beloved companion of 35 years, Bill Doerfler.
Roberta graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She proudly owned and operated Roberta's School of Dance for 15 years. Roberta loved to lift people up and laugh. We will all miss our sunshine.
Roberta is survived by her daughter, Linda Byrtus of Pittsburgh; granddaughters, Kelly Hays of Sewickley and Molly Byrtus of Detroit; great-grandson, J.J., whom she adored; and also her treasured pets: her dog, Ginger, and cat, Ezra.
