Robert B. Weigand

Born in Millvale, PA on June 8, 1927 to Burkhardt M. and Anna F. (Heck) Weigand; the eldest of three sons. Bob attended Millvale High School and joined the United States Navy as a 1st Class Seamen during World War II, three months before he was scheduled to graduate. Bob faithfully worked for Kaib Construction.

Bob was the loving and faithful husband of 59 years to the late Grace M. (Worst). He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Donald L. Weigand. He is survived by his brother, Burkhardt A Weigand, and his five children; Robert L. (Beth) Weigand, Sandra Bell, Karen (Mark) Steinmiller, Diane (Bob) Cronin and donna (Jim) Feltz. Bob was the proud Grandpap (Pap) of ten grandchildren; Sara (Michael) Brewer, Chad (Libby) Weigand, Erika, Steffen, Shayn Bell, Anna and Mark Steinmiller, Lindsay, Andrew and Evan Feltz; and two great-grandchildren; Elijah and Baleigh.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of faith, love and family. He, modeled what it meant to be a dedicated husband and supportive father and grandfather. With him you knew you were dearly loved, and he demonstrated how to persevere despite the toughest of circumstances. Most important, Bob continually encouraged his family to love and trust in Jesus Christ, and to have faith for the Lord would always be with them.

There will be no visitation. A private family service and burial will be held in a celebration of his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's name to the Pittsburgh North Chapter of the Mrs. Claus Club - a non profit organization dedicated to providing support to other local men and women undergoing cancer treatment..
