Norman E. Clair passed away on April 8, 2021. Although greatly saddened by the loss of a favorite brother, uncle, friend, we rejoice for Norman’s heavenly reunion with his wife. We will sorely miss his storytelling and his quirky sense of humor.
Norman, a Vietnam Era veteran, spent much of his life serving veterans and his community. He was a member of the DAV and National Association of the Trench Rats. As an active member of the Disabled American Veteran Chapter 53 for over 40 years, he held many positions including Commander, Adjutant, and served on the Department Executive Committee. He was an avid volunteer for the Pittsburgh area VAHCS, donating well over 30,000 hours of service. The family asks he be remembered in the spirit of his servitude.
Norman was the loving son of Marie (Bender) and Paul J. Clair. He was born January 9, 1945 and was preceded in death by both his parents and his wife of 42 years, Lori (Conrad) Clair. He is survived by his sister, Paula J. Scalo, his nieces; Cindy (Scalo) Ainslie, Darla Wainscott, and Christina Scalo, his nephew Cletus Scalo. His loving extended family includes five great nieces, two great nephews and his cousin Robert Nossek.
Visitation is scheduled on Friday April 16, 2021 at the Healy-Hahn Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. at 512 Grant Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15209. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8.The DAV Memorial Service will be conducted at 3 pm on Friday, April 16, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the DAV Chapter 53 to be used to provide services for veterans at the local VA facilities.
