Nicholas C. Stanish age 88, of Ross Township, suddenly passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022. He was born October 8, 1933, in East Liberty to the late John and Josephine Stanish.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Stanish, and three brothers (John, Tim, Tom, and one sister Carla). He is survived by one sister Alex Daley, his children Nicholas (Terry) Stanish Jr., and Nicole (Bob) Leonard, and his grandchildren Brandon Stanish and Alyssa, Brenna, and Bobby Leonard.
His last several years were enriched by childhood friends (even some from grade school) as they met daily at the Reservoir. No emails, no texts, no phone calls just showed up walked, and hung out for a few hours connecting with each other the old fashion way.
His final resting place will be Arlington Cemetery next to his wife. A celebration of life mass will take place in July during our family beach vacation.
