Mazie C. Fec

Mazie Constance (Lowe) Fec, affectionately known as Connie or GG, passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 98 in Pittsburgh, PA. Mazie was born on September 22, 1925 and was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Mazie was known for her generous and loving nature. She adored her family and was always there to support her children and grandchildren in all of their activities. Mazie loved to entertain and cook, bringing joy to those around her with her delicious halupkis. She also enjoyed the thrill of gambling at the Rivers and spent time helping her daughter Eileen with costumes. Mazie was also skilled in crochet and enjoyed creating beautiful pieces, particularly her famous rainbow blankets and baby doll dresses with matching Mary Janes.

Mazie is survived by her sons Michael (wife Paula), Ken (wife Verna), Tom (late wife Carole), and daughter Eileen (husband Glenn). She also leaves behind her grandchildren Mike, Ken, Steve, Tom, Doug, Greg, Angie, Nicole, and Eric, as well as her great-grandchildren Dylan, Mikey, Logan, Aleigha, Alana, Joey, Madeline, Zachary, Skylar and Brody and her sister-in-law, Dodie Lowe. Mazie was preceded in death by her spouse, Michael J. "Bud" Fec, her parents, Lawrence and Florence Lowe and her siblings Joe (Mary) Lowe, Tom (Mary) Lowe, Iris (Charlie) Weber, Larry (Shirley) Lowe and Fred Lowe.

Mazie Constance Fec will be remembered for her kind heart, love for her family, and the joy she brought to others through her cooking, entertaining, and support. She leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends are invited to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh PA 15237 on Monday February 12, 2024 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. A Catholic Blessing Service will take place on Tuesday February 13, 2024 at 11AM in the funeral home chapel.
