Marlene Scanga

Age 77, of West View, on Saturday, April 1, 2017, after a life well lived, a family much loved and a battle with cancer bravely fought, she passed from this world to be with the Lord. Beloved mother of Denise “Dede” Dobkin (Ricardo Pinon), Lauren Scanga, and Lisa Scanga (Rodger Orth); proud grandmother of Joshua (Jen) Dobkin; great-grandmother of her beautiful Leia Dobkin; sister of Frank (Christine) Manna, Bob (Lee) Manna and the late Joyce (Joseph) Passatore; daughter of the late Frank & Marie Manna. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, friends and Sonny (her constant furry companion). There will be no visitation. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at St. Athanasius Church, 7 Chalfonte Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15229, on Tuesday at 11 AM.
