Joseph A. Sham of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, beloved husband of 43 years of Mary (McCabe) Sham, passed peacefully on March 6, 2023. Son of Joseph A. and Dorothy D. (Sobota) Sham. Joseph is survived by his sons, Joseph (Ellen) and Daniel (Marion). His grandchildren Dana, Joshua, and Noah. His brother John Sham and sisters Alice Hamilton, Mary Broge, Dorothy Marous and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his brothers and sisters: Sr. Dolores Sham, James Sham, Richard Sham, and Tillie Virostek.
Joe enjoyed the many large family gatherings which included lots of music, singing, and reminiscing. He enjoyed his fishing vacations with his wife at the Outer Banks. He wrote poetry, spent time skeet shooting, and playing cards. He liked riding dirt bikes while camping on the weekends. Joe was a business owner of a painting and brick pointing company. His humor was appreciated by his family and friends. Joe was a faithful member of Allison Park Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Joe served honorably in the United States Air Force.
Funeral services will be held on March 17, 2023 at 11:00am. St Mary’s Cemetery 4000 Mt. Troy Road Pittsburgh PA 15214 with full Military Honors.
