I was 17 and my brother Bruce White got me a job in the film dept. of WENS TV. that is were I meet Don or Rocket as everyone called him.  I think he got the name from having to coast his car down the steep driveway. Don and Bruce went to ch 4 and I went to wiic for 30 years.  Don always had that smile  on his face,  I saw him in borders books a few years ago, same guy. GONE TO SOON !    NELSON WHITE

Unca Don,

You taught me how to fish off the dock at Canadohta Lake. I could even take the fish off of the hook by myself. You are the reason I have a love of the outdoors and enjoy sitting around a campfire.
You always made us laugh and feel good about ourselves. Some of my most fond memories growing up are times spent with you. You are loved and will be missed very much.  Laurie

Thanks for all the memories on Harmony Drive - picking berries, skiing down the snowy hill across from your house, etc.  Then the Canadohta Lake  memories - taking us all to the fish hatchery, to "Onion" City" and teaching us all your favorite song, "I see Lake Combodia" as we arrived back at the Rainbow Cottage Court.  I'll miss you, Unca Don. I'm sure you are so glad to be with Aunt Terry once again.  Love, Pattie

Thanks for being you, great sense of humor, great fisherman, wonderful camping buddy and the best at fixing everything with nothing. The memories of shore lunches, the beaver slapping their tails, hanging over the front of the boat looking for rocks, fishing all Aunt Terry's favorite "Honey Holes"  the good fishing spots close to the camps, the white rock, trapper's cabin, will last as memories for our generation and many to come after us.

Unca Don, So many memories.. you taught me how to fish off the dock at Canadohta with a stick, string, hook and a cube of bread, you let us take the canoe out on the lake but hid on the shore to make sure we were safe (you thought I didn't see you?). Your infectious laugh, jokes and pranks will never be forgotten. How will I ever know when to start the Christmas Season, your card was always first and I looked forward to it every year.
