Bernard F. Jockel, 92, of McCandless Twp., formerly of Oil City, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. He was born on February 7, 1932, to the late Valentine and Elizabeth (Liptak) Jockel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine A. (Morrow) Jockel on July 10, 2020.
He was a retired truck driver for the Teamsters Union #249, and he had served in the Army during the Korean War and was involved in the surveying of Alaska to make it a state.
Bernard will be remembered as a loving dad, granddad, and great-granddad.
He is survived by his two sons, Bernie (Lori) Jockel, Stevie Jockel; two daughters, Lori Jockel, Connie Lee; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, son-in-law, Carl Francolino; sister-in-law, Nancy Jockel; brother, Ralph (Janet) Jockel; sister, Geraldine Jockel, and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Lorraine, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Francolino and her daughter Amanda; son-in-law, Tim Lee; and Brother, Paul Jockel.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 3:00 PM till time of Life Celebration service at 5:00 PM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc.
