Born on August 18, 1937 to Anna (Kasal) and Charles Sevcik, she graduated from Allegheny High School, North Side of Pittsburgh, Pa in 1955. She grew up on Troy Hill, Pa and married her high school sweetheart Art McKinney in 1956. They moved to Fort Knox, Ky for Art to be an MP in the Army. After that, they moved back to Pittsburgh to Troy Hill again, and lived on Ley Street. After a couple years there, they moved to Plum Boro, Pa. They then moved to Shaler, where they lived the rest of their lives. She worked at Don Royal Cleaners as a counter associate. After a short amount of time, she moved up to the manager position. She worked there for over 35 years. While working at the cleaners, her and Art ran a small business called JADA Co with their sons. She helped do the billing, invoicing and helped balance the books. She really did not have many hobbies. She considered spending time with her family as her hobby. She took care of her older family members and her In-Laws. She also was a babysitter to James two kids. Her and Art wanted to retire and move to Myrtle Beach, Sc in the winter months- but that never materialized. When they had time, they liked to go on vacations to warmer locations.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Art on November 10, of 1994. Also deceased are her parents Anna and Charles, her brothers Elmer (Red), Bob and Norman as well as her Sister-In-Laws Diane, Marie and Anna Mae Sevcik and Brother-In-Law Don Gordon. She is survived by her two sons James and Dana (Lesley) McKinney and two grand kids, Nicole and Brandon and James ex-wife Leigh Clark McKinney. She is also survived by her older sister Norma and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving family and friends on Monday, November 16, 2020, from 1PM to 3PM and 5PM to 7PM. The service will be immediately following at 7PM at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Interment will be at Allegheny Cemetery.
