Andrew “Andy” Joseph Fandozzi III, age 56, of McCandless Township, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. He was born in Pittsburgh on April 24, 1968 to Carol S. (Agner) Fandozzi and the late Andrew J. Fandozzi, Jr.
In addition to his mother, Andy is survived by a loving brother, Kevin Fandozzi, and his niece and nephew, Steven and Raynah Fandozzi. In addition, Andy is survived by loving aunts and uncles: Craig and late Annette Mehldau, Mary Jo Lipinski (Robert), JeanAnne Raimond (Louis), and the late George and Diane Suarez. His cousins include Alex Keith, Jonathan (Brett) Lipinski, Brad Mehldau and Leigh Ann Markowski.
Andy graduated from Rutgers University with a Civil Engineering degree in 1991. In 1999, he received a M.B.A. in finance and real estate from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business. In addition, he was awarded Professional Engineering licenses in most U.S. states.
Andy held various engineering positions at Crown Castle for the past 17 years, holding the position of Senior Project Engineer A-E for the past 10 years. Prior to employment at Crown Castle, he worked with the EPA and at Cast-Fab Technologies in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Andy was a practicing Catholic. He was a parishioner at Most Precious Blood of Jesus Roman Catholic church on the North Side of Pittsburgh.
Andy loved to use his hands to build things. He restored vintage motorcycles to museum quality conditions, using only authentic parts. He displayed patience and perseverance since many bikes took years to complete. Recently, he took up the hobby of assembling chain saws. He was an avid gardener, he loved growing roses, dahlias, and vegetables. He enjoyed having good times with friends and family. He was an impressionable person, if you met him once, you would always remember him- he was one of a kind. He will be missed by many.
Friends will be received on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Hwy. Pittsburgh, PA 15237. A funeral mass will be conducted on Monday October 14, 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish 3300 California Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
Andy will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray, PA., following the funeral mass.
