Mr. Carmel Bernard Hill

Carmel Hill, 90 of Pineville passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital Born May 18, 1925 at Keyrock, he was the son of the late Rev. E. I. Hill and Lucinda Jackson Hill. Carmel was a member of the Rock Castle Baptist Church, was a member of the choir and was a retired business owner in Wyoming County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Louise Rose Hill; a daughter, Patricia Ann Hill; sisters, Marie Bailey, Myrtle Goddard, Ruth Sanford and Ella Brooks; and brothers, Lanta, Ralph, Elbert, Jr., Buren, Edwin, Clair and Ivan Hill Survivors include his wife, Beulah Hill of Pineville Granddaughter: Mary Olah Laster and her husband, Jeff of Charleston Brother: Joe Hill of Mullens A celebration of Carmel’s life will be held at 1 pm, Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Rock Castle Baptist Church with Rev. Silas Mullins and Rev. Doc Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley. Stuart Hill, Jeff Laster, Dale Laster, Sam Sparks and Alvin Jewell will serve as pallbearers. Tommy Carothers, Gary Browning, Barry Hill, Bradley Hill, Danny Pizzino, Warren Reed and Vern Stewart will serve as honorary pallbearers.
