Rene Joseph Templet, born on March 18, 1917 and a native of Pierre Part, passed away on April 13, 2018 at the age of 101. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion 328. He was a Commercial Fisherman who loved making rosaries and Cajun houses for the church fair. He is survived by two brothers, Edley Templet and Frank Templet; one sister, Pearl Templet Landry and numerous loving nieces and nephews, along with a host of other family members. He is preceded in death by his wife, Celine Pipsair; his parents, Egladie and Clay Templet; two brothers, Lloyd Templet and Herbert Templet; two sisters, Edna T. Boudreaux and Winnie T. Breaux; four sister-in-laws, Theresa H. Templet; Isabelle L. Templet, Justila P. Templet, and Lueany S. Templet; and three brother-in-laws, Kerney Landry, Norbert Breaux and Edward Boudreaux.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part from 8:00 am until the Mass of Christian burial for 11:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
